German-language book chapter (pp. 241–252) in the Springer volume Technologiegestützte Ansätze in der Community-basierten Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung, asking where digital technologies fit into community-level health promotion and using the German implementation of Communities That Care as its worked example. It introduces CTC as a municipal prevention system aimed at adolescent problem behaviour such as substance use, bullying, violence and delinquency, in which a municipality works through a five-phase process of roughly 24 months while a CTC transfer office provides coaching, training and technical support; in Lower Saxony that office is the Landespräventionsrat Niedersachsen, everywhere else in Germany it sits at the FINDER Akademie in Berlin. The authors then situate tools such as public indicator portals and the online evidence register Grüne Liste Prävention within that process and touch on the digital infrastructure on which such support depends. For European readers it is a concise account of how a national support structure for CTC can be organised and digitally equipped.
