Kokkuvõte
Konstruktivaliidsuse uuring, mis kasutas New Yorgi osariigis kogutud 26 781 CTC noorteuuringu mugavusvalimit. Autor tegi peakomponentide faktoranalüüsi, et selgitada, mitu tegurit väidete aluseks on ja millised väited igaühele laadivad, ning võrdles tulemust 34 tegurit, mida ennustab sotsiaalse arengu mudel, uuringu teoreetiline alus. Ilmnes 32 tegurit ning nende sees rühmitunud väited vastasid mudeli konstruktidele piisavalt hästi, et autor järeldas, et analüüs toetab nii sotsiaalse arengu mudeli kui ka uuringu kui selle operatsionaliseerimise konstruktivaliidsust. Analüüs on pigem uuriv kui kinnitav ja pärineb ühest USA osariigist, seega on tõendus toetav, mitte otsustav, kuid see lisab uuringu faktorstruktuuri suurevalimilise kontrolli, mida Euroopa kasutajad võivad soovida oma andmetel korrata.
