Kokkuvõte
Communities That Care ennetussüsteemi hindamine suures, suure koormusega linnaosas, mis erineb tugevasti algse uuringu väikelinnadest. Chicago Center for Youth Violence Prevention, üks USA Haiguste Tõrje ja Ennetamise Keskuste (CDC) rahastatud riiklikest noorte vägivalla ennetamise keskustest, oli esimeste seas, kes viisid CTC suurlinna linnaosas ellu andmepõhise kollektiivse mõju (collective impact) lähenemisena. Uuring võrdleb raskete kallaletungide ja röövide trende Bronzeville'i kogukonnas sarnaste Chicago kogukondadega. Tulemused näitavad nende vägivallakuritegude vähenemist Bronzeville'is võrreldes võrdluskogukondadega. Uuringukavand on piirkonnatasandi kuritegevuse trendide kvaasieksperimentaalne võrdlus, mitte juhuslikustatud kontrollitud uuring, ja avaldatud kokkuvõte ei esita efekti suurusi, seega tuleb mõju tugevust hinnata täistekstist. Euroopa linnadele on uuring oluline tõend selle kohta, et CTC protsessi saab rakendada tihedalt asustatud, ebasoodsas olukorras linnakeskkondades.
