Summary
Conference report (in German) from the team that maintains the Grüne Liste Prävention, describing the groundwork for extending the register to nutrition and physical activity. In January 2023 the register listed 100 evidence-based programmes for the psychosocial health of children and adolescents, mostly on addiction and violence, with only three programmes on nutrition and two on physical activity. The authors ran a rapid review of behavioural and environmental risk and protective factors for nutrition and physical activity in young people, searching by hand and in PubMed/Medline and LIVIVO against defined inclusion criteria; a factor counted as established when at least two methodologically sound longitudinal studies showed the effect. The review identified behavioural, biological, prenatal and early-childhood, psychosocial, social and contextual factors, as well as prevention and health-promotion measures themselves. The factors now serve the register’s appraisal of behavioural and structural measures and its keywording, so that programmes can be selected precisely, for example within the school-development method Schools That Care.
