Summary
Methodological report (in German) by the University of Hildesheim on the questionnaire used in the German Communities That Care youth survey. The authors examine the scales measuring risk and protective factors for comprehensibility, response behaviour and psychometric quality and derive adjustments that were carried into the subsequent state-wide surveys in Lower Saxony. The report is the basis for the statement that the questionnaire is checked and revised continuously rather than fixed once. It is an in-house institute report without a DOI and is not indexed in bibliographic databases, so it should be cited as grey literature; the later, externally peer-reviewed examination of the instrument is Reder et al. (2024), listed separately in this bibliography. For European practitioners its relevance is as a record that the German adaptation of the CTC Youth Survey was tested empirically before being scaled up, not merely translated.
