Resumo
Master's thesis that follows up the „Prevencija u zajednici“ project, the 2017–2018 initiative in which Udruga roditelja Korak po korak and the Zagreb faculty introduced the first CTC phases in three towns around Zagreb. The author re-assessed the readiness of the town of Jastrebarsko for prevention six months after the project ended and compared it with the initial assessment made at the project's start. The study rests on the Community Readiness Model with its six dimensions and nine stages; data came from a focus group with the members of the town's prevention council, analysed qualitatively, the readiness stage per dimension and overall being the only quantitative indicator. Jastrebarsko was placed at stage 4 (preplanning): citizens recognise part of the behavioural problems of children and young people, most prevention programmes rest on needs-assessment results and many activities run, but comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation are lacking. Cross-sectoral networking of professionals was the main resource, stigma attached to taking part in prevention programmes the main risk. Compared with the first assessment, four dimensions improved, one was unchanged, and the newly added community-climate dimension lowered the overall score. The thesis proposes activities to raise readiness and a new prevention priority.
